What Are You Afraid Of?

Isaiah 41:10

Real Life Application

I took my grandkids to Chucky Cheese. My grandson was having the time of his life- running at high speed, laughing and playing the games until the waiter brought the famous Chucky character out. The laughter immediately stopped and the screaming started. He screamed to the top of his lungs for several minutes. He even asked me to take him home. I thought, if he only knew who was under that costume, he wouldn't act like that. If you and I as Christians would become more aware of God's presence and who is behind the spirt of fear, then we we wouldn't allow it to torment our lives. The Lord wants us to live our lives free of fear.

Scripture Background

The Book of Psalms and Isaiah mentions the word "fear" more times than any other in the Bible. Here in Isaiah 41, God challenges the nation that refused to wait on Him to be silent, and He would renew their strength. God tells them that He is the first and the last. He existed before history and will remain after it's all over. It's a blessing to serve a God like that. We don't have to live in fear.
